The Problem with N Series

Using straight Neural (N) series often results in a flat, opaque, "shoe-polish" look. Mastering grey coverage means putting the warmth back in that the grey hair is missing.

The Golden Rule

Grey hair lacks pigment. To make it look natural, you need to add:

  • Warmth (Gold/Copper): To replace missing underlying pigment.
  • Depth (N/NN): To anchor the color.

Sample Formula

For a target Level 5 Brown on 75% Grey:

Color Formulation

30g 5N (Depth) + 10g 5G (Warmth) + 20 Vol Developer

The Gold prevents the color from "browning out" too ashy or flat, keeping it reflective and youthful.
